Rooftop Park, San Francisco

Designed atop a LEED-registered office building, this strikingly modern design incorporates native grasses for low water use and recycled glass cubes for sitting and nighttime illumination. Inspired by the industrial quality of the rehabilitated former warehouse, the park is a metaphor for an industrial landscape being reclaimed by nature, with glass and concrete remnants of our past slowly being consumed by gently swaying grasses.

And it's not just for people. Canines, as well as their human companions will appreciate the fenced-in dog run complete with a heated dog shower (with shampoo for those brave enough), an automatic water bowl, shelter from wind and sun as well as some easy-to-clean planting areas where dogs can do their business in privacy.

The result will be a community-friendly place that is simple, modern, memorable, and offers people precious space to relax, meet and enjoy the surroundings.
